We used jewels to help us learn addition this morning. Ms. Camille had the children count the jewels on either side of a '+' sign. She then labelled each group of jewels and then had each child count the total amount of jewels. She wrote the answer beside each addition question and the children traced the answers. After we were finished that, on the other side of the page there were jewels that corresponded to answers in our addition questions. We drew lines to the appropriate number of jewels. We loved learning additional with sparkly jewels!
