Class 5 - Gung Hay Fat Choy

Class 5 learned how to say and spell “Gung Hay Fat Choy!”, which is the most common way of saying “Happy Chinese New Year" in Chinese. We were able to learn this through reading the Dragon Dance book. This was exciting as we learned all about  the Chinese New Year and how it is celebrated amongst many families. As we came across the “Gung Hay Fat Choy” page, we all cheered it together! After reading the book, we then sounded out and printed “Gung Hay Fat Choy” on paper. Thats, when class five decided they wanted to illustrate the Chinese dragons that they had seen in the book. Everyones representation of the Chinese dragons were beautiful and unique. I was amazed at the detail and creativity all my friends put into their drawings. Overall, this was a great experience as we all were able to share this special day together! Happy Chinese New Year, Gung Hay Fat Choy!
