Class 4 - Sleeping Bunnies

Class 4 showed us what sleeping bunnies might look like on the LFLF dance floor.  They were Oh, so still, and thankfully not actually ill.  With the help of Class 2, these sleeping bunnies leapt to new heights and put all of their energy to good use.  Having a dance floor as large as ours really benefits all of our friends, especially on rainy days like this one where we're not able to play outside.

Class 3 - Literacy Workbooks

Class 3 worked on their new literacy workbooks today. We used our pencils and crayons as we identified and letters as well as colours of pictures that represented the letter. While working on it, we shared to some of our friends the letters on our names that we see in our books

Class 1 - Numeracy

Let's count together Class 1!
Class 1 enjoyed the practice of writing numbers this week.  We traced each number with the guidance and encouragement of Ms. Lydia and our peers. We took turns recognizing and counting aloud. We're doing a wonderful job, Class 1!

Class 3 - Story Time

Ms. Andrea is back in action!
Class 3 had a wonderul story time today. We made sure to be in close proximity to one another as we listened to our story today to ensure a nice bonding experience. We decided Little Red Riding Hood was a good story to start with. After Ms. Andrea finished reading the story and asking us questions as the story progressed, we took turns commenting on our favourite parts of the book.
Awesome listening skills, Class 3!

Elect: 3.2, 3.3

Class 2 - Magic Mirrors

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the greatest preschooler of them all?

This week Class 2 explored fairy tales by using their creative skills as well as their fine motor and cognitive skills. First, our friends created and decorated magic mirrors by putting sparkles and jewels onto their mirrors to create 'reflections'. After that, they were able to use their fine motor skills by tracing creative magical fairy tale words.

Class 4 - Family 2D Art

Class 4 have been working hard in the art room to get fully emersed into the season of spring!
Here, the children have taken a hand and arm print that resemble the trunk and branches of a tree.
That was step 1.

Step 2 consisted of our friends crumpling up tiny pieces of tissue paper to give our works of art sole texture!
You'll have to stay in tune with our blog to see what this cool creation consists of next.

Ms. Menaka Visits LFLF

LFLF had a special visitor yesterday afternoon.  Who does it look like?  If you guessed, Ms. Menaka, you're absolutely right! For those of you who do not know Ms. Menaka, she was the LFLF piano teacher before Ms. Pamela was hired.  Menaka was very well loved by the children and the staff at LFLF, and we have missed her dearly.  Currently, Menaka is living in California and has temporarily returned home to visit family. So, naturally, when she thought of family, she reached out to LFLF to see if she could surprise our little friends for a visit.
That she did! Hugs, smiles and snacks were shared, we do hope you return soon.  We missed you, Ms. Menaka, best of luck in all your future endeavours from everyone at LFLF.

Flash Cards en Francais

Learning about food in French! (La nourriture)

This morning during our French circle, we learned about each of our food groups in French (les groupes d'aliments). With the help of our special French flash cards, we carefully learned each word and associated the English version to the French version. Afterwards, we took turns picking our favourite food that we like to eat :).

Wonderul listening ears, friends
