Class 5- Sense of Taste & Cutting Skills

Today, Class 5 talked about the sense that helps us taste all the yummy treats and favourite foods that we all like: our sense of taste! We learned that we use our tongue to taste different kinds of food and that different areas of our tongue recognizes different tastes such as salty, sweet, bitter and sour. We also learned that its the taste buds on our tongues that also help us differentiate tastes. After our group discussion, our teacher brought a food magazine for us to look at all sorts of different kinds of food and we would all guess how they would taste.

For our activity, we took some scissors and cut out 4 different pictures of food that we liked. We ended our activity by making a collage out of our food pictures!
